Finding our feet
Reading rotations are going well. Tamariki are starting to be more independent during this time, leaving me to do group teaching. Tamariki have learnt Google slides this term and have become confident in: Taking a screenshot of book or pages of books and inserting into them into a slide deck. Using the talk to text function. We are confident in scanning QR codes. With these new skills under our belt I am able to set tasks for the tamariki to do independently. The big book tasks and a daily reading log are going well. Must do/Can do rotation is going OK . A lot of hand holding, we are working on being more independent and managing ourselves. With this in mind I have made several changes to the reading rotation taskboard. Lots of small tweaks, adding in their reading groups to the task board giving more direction to what to do and when.
